What more can a person offer than an open door. Reflecting about the most precious – and sometimes exotic – moments of my life, it was always connected to invitations. That became my motto: “Visiting faces, not places!”
Couchsurfing was a brilliant idea when I joined it in 2006. I met wonderful people in various places and I had the privilege to host great fellow humans from all continents but Antarctica in my home. With many I am still closely connected, though the platform to some extend lost it’s soul to the money-promising AirBnB, Part of the positive energy shifted to BeWelcome, that never really klicked well for me. But in my year 15 of internet hosting, I decided to help connecting visitors and places for mutually beneficial experiences by applying to be the local ambassador for fairbnb in and around Saarland.
